RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Los Angeles County — Drivers on Palos Verdes Drive South should allow extra time for ongoing sewer repairs coordinated by the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts.
The city’s project alert says work began in fall 2026 and is expected to continue into February 2027. The broader project uses traffic flaggers and alternating single-lane travel in sections from the San Pedro city boundary east of La Rotonda Drive toward the area west of Schooner Drive.
Where the traffic controls may move
In an October 29–30 alert, the city identified additional segments near Conqueror Drive and Yacht Harbor Drive. Those specific dates have passed, and the notice should not be read as a claim the same lane is closed today. The overall construction zone can shift as crews progress.
The published usual work hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, subject to change. Follow posted signs and flaggers, and check official updates before a time-sensitive trip. For project information see LACSD’s project page. For after-hours problems or sewer odor concerns, the district lists 562-437-6520.
